Abstract |

内容記述 |
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs),an action plan for people, the planet, and prosperity announced by the UN in 2015, have become a global concern. However, the words “art” and “culture,” which should be regarded as human activity itself, are missing from the SDGs. This study focuses on nature and the environment, which should be taken seriously to achieve a sustainable society, and considers how art and culture can be used to approach nature(and its change). Three case studies are examined:the understanding of nature gained from mountaineering as a leisure activity(Hamatani),alternative music education using ’listening walks’ as a cue to promote diversity (Kanazaki), and winter art projects in a metropolitan area with heavy snowfall(Shibata). This study analyzes the potential connections between the SDGs and arts and culture, as well as clarifies how arts and culture can transcend existing norms and lead people to a state of “being-in-nature,” which is a key perspective of implementation toward a sustainable society. |
