| 内容記述 | Japanese schools began a new Course of Study for lower secondary schools in April 2021. Active learning is emphasized in a new curriculum as a way to promote experiential and interpersonal learning. Cooperative learning is an active learning method. This study examined student attitudes toward learning in science classes using cooperative learning. We observed an experimental class that implemented cooperative learning for one year and compared it with a control class at three time points: May, October, and March. The results indicated that students in the cooperative learning class showed high self-assessed competence in learning and study habits. They also tended to be kinder and expressed gratitude to their classmates more often. | |||||||||
