| 内容記述 | Me-akandake is an active stratovolcano which grew on the southwestern edge of Akancaldera and consists of six small volcanic bodies. Small phreatic explosions occurred in 1988,1996, 1998, 2006, and 2008 in the Pon-machineshiri crater. The eruption history of the Meakanvolcano can be divided into four periods of activity （stagesⅠto Ⅳ）. In stage I, the1042m peak, Minamidake, Higashidake, and Nakamachineshiri （constituting the centralvolcanic edifice） formed. Stage Ⅱ （14000 - 6300 years ago） can be divided into three Nakamachineshiripyroclastic eruption periods 1 to 3. The largest pyroclastic eruptions ofcontinuously repeated pyroclastic flows and plinian scoria-pumice falls occurred 14000 yearsago, forming the Naka-machineshiri crater （1.1km in diameter）. In Stage Ⅲ, approximately6500 - 2400 years ago, Nishiyama monogenetic volcano, consisting of basaltic lavas and scoriafallout, formed. Subsequently, the Pon-machineshiri volcanic edifice was formed by manyandesitic lavas, and finally the Kitayama lava was effused. Stage Ⅳ is divided into the Akanfujiformation period （2100 - 1100 years ago）, consisting of basaltic lavas and 17 scoria fallouts,and the subsequent Pon-machineshiri crater formation period （900 years ago to the present）. | |||||||||
