This study analyzed the professional development surrounding Learning Story practicesin New Zealand, with a focus on training and inquiry methods that support children’slearning. Conducted between late February and early March 2023, the research involvedvisiting Sunny Side Early Educare in Hamilton, Waikato, and participating in in-housetraining. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the educators. This short paperreports on the content of the training facilitated by Wendy Lee, Director of EducationalLeadership Project Ltd., and reflects on the insights gained from the lead caregiver’sperspective during the training. The findings have implications for the effectiveimplementation of Learning Story practices to enhance children’s learning experiences. |
