内容記述 | Exercise is becoming more common for health promotion, and exercise intensity was extremely important. Therefore, this study aimed to obtain basic knowledge about the apparent intensity of lactate threshold (LT) and maximum fat oxidation rate (FORmax) during an incremental cycle ergometry test to volitional exhaustion. Seventeen male adults (mean age=19.3±1.2yr, height=172.0±4.8cm, weight=63.7±4.3kg) with exercise habits articipated in this study after providing written informed consent. All subjects were college students who regularly participated in sportstraining program. LT was the exercise intensity coincident with a sustained increase in blood lactate level above the initial baseline. FOR curves were determined by indirect calorimetry from 0 to 160 W during the exercise. FORmax is the exercise intensity at the point of maximal fat oxidation rate, determined using a polynomial expression. The peak oxygen consumption (VO2peak) and maximal exercise load were 56.0±1.7ml/kg/min and 263.5±8.4Watt, respectively. The average FORmax was 0.28±0.03g/min, ranging from 0.11 g/min to 0.52 g/min. LT and FORmax appeared with almost the same exercise intensity (50%-55% HRpeak, 30%-35% VO2peak and 60-65W, respectively). The two variables were in good agreement, suggesting that exercise at this intensity is highly effective in terms of safety and lipid metabolism. | |||||||||
