| 内容記述 | This study seeks to clarify cognitive self-assessment of learners' motivation for three different ways of reading aloud. The participants consisted of 42 Japanese students from an all-boys high school. As a treatment, after understanding the content of a long English passage, the participants performed buzz reading （BR）, parallel reading （PR）, and error-finding reading （EFR） in a separate session. Afterward, they were given identical questionnaires to assess their motivation. Consequently, a significant difference was observed in three of four categories in the questionnaire, suggesting that learners' motivations varied depending on their method of reading aloud. The result of open-ended questions was analyzed using the KJ method, and four noteworthy insights into their motivation for reading aloud were identified. These findings may indicate pedagogical implications for the classroom. | |||||||||
